The Common User Interface
MOSS is licensed for use throughout the NHS, through the Enterprise Agreement between Connecting for Health (CfH) and Microsoft.
There has been rapid uptake in use of SharePoint by NHS Trusts, however it was recognised that a large proportion of the trusts have similar needs and that it would be cost effective to develop solutions to these needs centrally and make them available to all trusts rather than have each one create their own. To this end Microsoft and CfH created the Common User Interface programme.
Over a series of releases it has developed guidance, solution enablers, information and standards for the NHS to use. A number of the Solution Enablers are components specific to SharePoint (and Office) that are designed for the NHS to solve specific management challenges. They are intended to be fast to deploy and use technologies already covered by the Microsoft / NHS Agreement. And they are free, the only thing you pay for is our implementation and training effort.
Cloud2 has worked closely with the CUI team and are the first partner to help trusts implement CUI components.

We are supporting a number of early adopter trusts in rolling out their solution enablers.
We can demonstrate the full range of Enablers and provide a rapid implementation of any of the components as a standalone activity or fully integrated into our Solution Accelerator.
