Cloud2 begin implementing first CUI Enablers

Cloud2 is pleased to be the first delivery partner to implement the Common User Interface 'Policies and Procedures Solution Enabler' for a client trust.
Our rapid workshop and deployment approach allows trusts to get up and running in a matter of days, supported by technical skills to extend the Enabler as needed and training to ensure the benefits of it are realised.

Cloud2 engaged to deliver CUI components

Cloud2 are delighted to be the first UK SharePoint partner to begin delivering the NHS Common User Interface Solution Enhancers to NHS trusts.
Prior to this CfH have recommended that NHS trusts implement their own CUI components, however uptake has been low as the trusts often do not have the resources to do this or have a partner company carrying out their SharePoint and other technology implementations. In many cases the trusts are unaware of existance or value of the CUI components and their partners have not had access to or insight into them.
Cloud2 has been actively engaged with the CUI team and their focus on the health sector allows them to keep up to date with developments. Discussions with the CUI team confirmed the value in partnering to provide implementation of these valuable tools.
The first implementation is planned in January and will deliver the Policies and Procedures Solution Enhancer to a leading Partnership Trust.

Cloud2 shortlisted for 'Enterprise through Innovation 2009' award

This award, organised by the Bradford Chamber of Commerce, recognises companies that have fought against adversity and overcome the odds to build a successful business.
The winner will be decided against the backdrop of a gala dinner on the 26th June.

Microsoft Business Intelligence strategy update and SharePoint

There have been some recent developments regarding Microsoft's Business Intelligence strategy
PerformancePoint scorecarding and dashboarding capabilities will now become part of SharePoint Enterprise CAL and available to customers who are on SharePoint SA. This means that customers who want to deploy PerformancePoint can do so today at no additional cost.
In mid 2009, Microsoft will release PerformancePoint Server 2007 “service pack 3” which will include updates to the current product’s planning module. Thereafter there will be no further investment in standalone versions of PerformancePoint Server. Instead, Microsoft will invest in a performance management platform and increased functionality through Excel, SharePoint and SQL Server to support broad-based performance management models and simulations.
These changes enable customers to deploy a complete BI solution with existing investments in SharePoint Server, SQL Server, and Excel.
